Watch the first 5 minutes for ‘AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM’

We are less than a week away from the second season of American Horror Story. I wasn’t the hugest fan of the first season due to it feeling more melodramatic than it needed to be. Still, there is no doubt that the second half of the season delivered in spades – which brought it back on track to a show I cared about. I know one thing that I thought about at the beginning with naming the show as they did that they don’t need to focus on one particular group of characters. This lends the show to really be pretty unpredictable when deciding the fate of the main characters which is an aspect that I personally enjoyed. Jessica Lange along with a few others will be returning in the second season but as far as we know, they will be different characters. I’m hoping there will be some tie in otherwise it might feel more of a reboot – which might not be a bad thing. I’m sure Charlie Clouser’s theme will still haunt us long after the episode is over and I look forward to that.

In anticipation of the new season and with the hype machine pretty high, FX has released the first five minutes of the first episode of American Horror Story: Asylum. Boy oh boy is it spicy. Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan Tatum open up the show as newlyweds and…well…let me just let the clip speak for itself.
