Ruggero Deodato, Director of ‘CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST’, Has a Cannibal Video Game Coming in 2021.
While it may not be news to some of you, Ruggero Deodato, director of Cannibal Holocaust and, one of my favorites, House on the Edge of the Park, is venturing into the video game medium. Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare is Deodato’s fourth entry into his Cannibal saga (Jungle Holocaust, Cannibal Holocaust, Cut and Run). Originally called Cannibal, Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare is a new title being used in a recently posted announcement trailer. The game was announced back in April and while there is no explanation for the change, I’ll take new horror content from Deodato any day. Below, you can find the announcement trailer as well as an interview with Deodato that was posted back in June where he answers why it is a video game and not a movie.
Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare is expected to launch on Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 sometime during Summer 2021. According to Fantastico Studio, “Borneo is a 2d point & click graphic adventure”.
