First Look at Wicked Pixel Cinema’s RATLINE
I have been so busy at my 9 to 5 that I haven’t had a chance to post this. As most of you know, Destroy The Brain and Wicked Pixel Cinema are not only based out of St. Louis but both have been very supportive of each other. For listeners of the podcast, DTB will always play an ad of Wicked Pixel Cinema based on the fact that I have always looked at them in a different light growing up. Wicked Pixel Cinema, for the longest time, were really the only independent filmmakers working in the horror and subversive genres out of St. Louis. I rented SAVAGE HARVEST on VHS at a local video store in Barnhart, MO (where I spent my high school years). I bought SCRAPBOOK on VHS through B-MovieTheater.com/Sub Rosa (Remember B-MovieTheater.com???). I have always tried my best to spread the word about all things WPC.
After seeing DEADWOOD PARK, I grew even more anxious to see their next entry. For months, I have been hearing about RATLINE. Some of those discussions I have heard straight from the team of WPC. They have played this title close to the chest. Even someone like me that has a relationship with Wicked Pixel Cinema still hasn’t seen any footage of RATLINE. Until Now….
FEARnet.com has unveiled your first look at the upcoming feature film RATLINE, from Wicked Pixel Cinema.
From the Press Release:
RATLINE is director Eric Stanze’s follow-up to his critically-acclaimed and award-winning horror film DEADWOOD PARK (winner, Best Feature and Best Cinematography at the Freak Show Film Fest, 2007, and named Best Independent Film Of The Year by DeadPit.com). Stanze is also the director of SCRAPBOOK (named Best Independent Film Of The Year by Rue Morgue Magazine, 2001).
RATLINE stars Emily Haack (who earned rave reviews for her leading role in SCRAPBOOK), Jason Christ (DEADWOOD PARK), Sarah Swofford (SUGAR CREEK), DJ Vivona (ICE FROM THE SUN), alt-model / former Suicide Girl, Amanda “Apnea” Pemberton, Alex Del Monacco, Ryan Bax, and Joseph R. Engel.
RATLINE’s producer is Jeremy Wallace. The film’s executive producers are Eric Stanze, Jessie Seitz, and Jason Christ.
No clips or preview trailers for RATLINE have been shown anywhere yet, so this is the public’s very first glimpse of the movie.
RATLINE is currently in post-production. No distributor is currently attached to the project, so no release date or other details have been established.
FEARnet.com presents an entire scene from the movie here.
