[Geek Out] The Night Mondo Came Home: ‘HALLOWEEN’ EP
It doesn’t take much for me to be excited about any product dealing with John Carpenter’s Halloween. But goddamn if Mondo and Phantom City Creative didn’t hit it out of the park this time. GQ, of all places, got an exclusive of the upcoming release of John Carpenter’s iconic score for Halloween for the first time on vinyl. As someone that owns about every Anchor Bay DVD of this film, some VHS releases, the theme as my ringtone and the infamous high-pitched sting as my notification tone on my phone, you know I’m getting this. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one sold out as fast as the posters did.
From the GQ article:
Halloween’s original motion-picture soundtrack by John Carpenter comes in a 2x LP in a Deluxe Gatefold packaging with artwork by Phantom City Creative. The record itself is a 180 Gram black vinyl, with randomly inserted orange vinyl, cut at 45RPM. Mondo’s release is a monumental one, as this is the first time that Carpenter’s Halloween has ever been released on vinyl in its full version. It will be the most comprehensive vinyl release of Halloween ever.
