He has made us laugh, now it’s his turn to make us fear. (I swear if that’s not a tagline, I don’t know what is!) Red State is a film I’ve been looking forward to ever since director Kevin Smith mentioned that he was going to venture into my beloved genre. Add in the fact that it deals with religion and what some religious beliefs can do to certain impressionable people and that Michael Parks is the lead…well, that is what I call an interesting combination to guarantee my ass in that theater seat.
