Will Bale and Nolan Return For The ‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’ Film?
This may be the biggest movie news since Disney’s announcement of new Star Wars films if this is in fact true. The key is whether or not this juicy little rumor is just fanboy hype or if DC is finally going to catch a lucky break after a series of pitfalls with their Justice League project. Recently it was announced that the entire working script for the upcoming Justice League film – which mind you, already has a release date issued to the public – was completely scrapped after disappointing the studio. A director was already being sought but now a new script is in order as well. Not to mention, who will play Batman, will Ryan Reynolds return after the flop that was Green Lantern, and will this project even make the planned summer 2015 release date? These are just a few of the issues concerning DC right now while the competition continues to see progress; Marvel is launching “Phase 2” of their line-up, Disney is receiving a ton of press about their planned Star Wars films, and FOX is beginning a massive push for Singer’s upcoming return to X-Men.
Now comes the all important shift that DC needs to turn the tides. Latino Review is reporting that Christopher Nolan is overseeing the new DC Universe and is planning on producing the Justice League film, Zack Snyder will also be producing and possibly directing, and the biggest news of all – Christian Bale will return to don the cape and the cowl. Nolan and Bale originally said they were finished with their Batman story, but they never said anything about Justice League. If this is true, this would be huge. Here’s hoping an official announcement arrives soon so that the anticipation doesn’t kill some die-hard Batman fans.
