The follow-up to ‘Repo!’, ‘The Devil’s Carnival’ Teaser is released

Repo! The Genetic Opera is a film with a rabid fanbase. I actually dig the film but I also recognize some of its faults. Regardless, I came to the Tour Stop in St.Louis when it rolled through as well as own the DVD. I also like the music, while technically simplistic, quite a bit as well. The one thing I didn’t like about the film was the way that it was promoted and pushed as the ‘Next Rocky Horror‘. I would like to think it is a little above that, but whatever helped them gain the recognition.

Needless to say, the Repo! fans (Zydrate addicts) will be gnashing at the teeth for Bousman’s follow-up with The Devil’s Carnival. The Hollywood Reporter exclusively released a teaser for the film, which you can see below.

There are plans for a 30-city tour beginning in April and they plan on turning the venues into the environments established in the film. I like that aspect quite a bit. What I don’t like is that this is not a feature film, it is a 55 minute short. Maybe it is for the best, especially for those who were not fans of Repo! and thought it should have been trimmed down. Regardless, I’m sure I’ll be in line if it makes a stop in St. Louis.
