New Clip from Upcoming Slasher RITES OF SPRING

Last week the first trailer for Padraig Reynolds’ upcoming indie horror film Rites of Spring went viral.  Now the website Twitch has just released a new clip of the creepy looking slasher.

Starring AJ Bowen (The Signal), Rites of Spring is a new stalk and slash horror that will premiere at the upcoming LA Screamfest. Think of it as Jeepers Creepers meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre with a budget somewhere in the middle of those two.  I’m anxious to see it and I hope that it does well enough to get at least a limited theater run before it heads to DVD. Here is the plot:

After kidnapping the nine-year-old daughter of a wealthy socialite and hiding out in an abandoned school, the kidnappers fall prey to a recurring terror in this place, a bloodlust that comes every first day of spring.

The trailer looks satisfying enough but the new clip allows us to sense the tension as one of the characters is being chased by the killer.
