New APOLLO 18 poster shows us why we didn’t go back to the moon

Apollo 18 is a film that has been a little off my radar as of late.  Attribute it to the constant shuffling around of its release date or the fact that there are just so many genre films heading our way in the coming week, but Apollo 18 has never excited me too much with what I have seen from it.  The found footage film is wearing pretty thin in my book, but that’s not to say that this newest entry couldn’t bring something interesting to the table.  A new poster has surface online from the film and maintains the minimalist poster designs that the previous ones have stuck with.  Keep reading to check out the poster.  I promise . . . it’s a scream.

Apollo 18 will be landing in theaters on September 2.

Officially, Apollo 17 – launched December 17th, 1972 – was the last manned mission to the moon. But a year later, in December of 1973, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. What you are about to see is the actual footage that the astronauts captured on that mission. While NASA denies its authenticity, others say it’s the real reason we’ve never gone back to the moon.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
