Check Out the A24 and Ti West “Porn Gone Backwoods Bad”, ‘X’, Trailer!
It’s been a little over five years since we last had a feature film from director Ti West (The House of the Devil) and a little over eight years since he had a feature film in the horror genre (The Sacrament). 2022 brings us a feature-length horror feature from the man himself. Better yet, A24 is the distributor. Check out the trailer below!
It’s good to see West back in the horror saddle after doing tons of television work. After watching the trailer, I wonder if his “Farmer’s Daughters” is a nod to the 1976 Zebedy Colt film of the same name. I’m sure it’s not and it’s just an easy title that will border on parody or humorous commentary on 70’s film pornography but the 1976 film I speak of is basically a “Last House on the Left” adult-film riff on the stereotypical “Farmer’s Daughter” joke. Impulse Pictures (Synapse’s “naughty” label) put out the DVD of that film which is starting to get to be harder to find. You can still buy it direct here.
Ti West’s X looks like a fun, creepy time and I’m sure you’ll catch me in the theater watching it.
