You Can Sleep Easy When You Pre-Order THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE COLLECTION

Shout Factory has released several films under the “Roger Corman’s Cult Classics” label over the past year. Previous campy releases include Death Race 2000, Piranha, Humanoids from the Deep, and Starcrash. To add to their growing list of “Cult Classics,” Shout Factory has announced that they will be releasing all three Slumber Party Massacre films in one 2 disc collection. As if that wasn’t enough to make you pull out the sleeping bag and cook up some popcorn, the company is also throwing in a free Slumber Party Massacre pillowcase just for pre-ordering the DVD through the site! Get a glimpse of it beyond the break.

If a bloody pillowcase is not one of the coolest tie-in gifts for this film, I don’t know what is (well, a giant power-drill would be asking too much). The DVD will be available to own October 5, 2010. Besides the three films, the DVD will include an in-depth three part documentary revisiting all three films, a poster and still gallery, trailers, and a collectible booklet. If you aren’t familiar with these fun slasher films, you can head on over to Shout Factory’s website where they have some info on the plot, director, and actors of all three films. So if you were always thinking that you needed something in the bedroom to tie the room together, you may want to look into this collectible bloody pillowcase. I am sure any horror geek would get a good night’s sleep with it.

Pre-Order the set through Shout! Factory’s website here.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
