Image Entertainment Announces a number of Horror Classics under their Midnight Madness Banner
Every day, more and more classic films get released for the Blu-ray platform. This also means that the classic horror films we love here at Destroy the Brain! also get to be seen in the beautiful 1080p picture quality. Image Entertainment recently announced a number of films that they purchased from Anchor Bay that will be released this year on Blu-ray. Under their Midnight Madness banner, the company will be releasing two of my personal favorites: The Wes Craven classic The Hills Have Eyes and the zombie-cop comedy Dead Heat. To find out when these titles and many more will be released from Image Entertainment, keep reading.
Though no word has been released yet if these are simply just upconverted from the DVD releases, we do know that the only special feature on the Blu-ray of The Hills Have Eyes will be a trailer. (LAME!) The cover art can be seen below. Amazon is currently taking pre-orders for the release, which is scheduled for September 6. Below, you can see the rest of the films that will be released under the Midnight Madness Collection. It looks like Halloween will be coming early this year with all of these great new title coming to Blu-ray this September. These films will also be released on standard DVD as well. The ones listed below with a star next to it will also be released on Blu-ray.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts.
