Halloween may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’ve run out of new releases to share with you. Here are the new releases for November 4th, 2014.
Sorority House Massacre. United States. Limited Edition – 1,200 copies Scorpion Releasing. 1986.
(Technically this is a November 3rd release but I thought I would include it on this list.)
A little girl’s brother kills the whole family but her (she escapes by hiding in the basement). He is committed, and she grows up with a new family, eventually going to college, where she joins a sorority. Due to a memory block, she doesn’t remember that the sorority house was her childhood house. Her brother senses her presence in the house and escapes so he can finish the job he was unable to complete. (Source)
The Doctor and the Devils. United States. Shout Factory. 1985.
An 18th-century doctor must rely upon the disreputable duo of Robert Fallon and Timothy Broom to provide fresh cadavers for his teaching hospital. When they cannot dig up corpses fast enough to suit the demanding doctor, Fallon and Broom decide to streamline their methods via murder. (Source)
Stanley Kubrick: The Masterpiece Collection. United States. Amazon Exclusive until Dec 02, 2014. Warner Bros. 1962-1999.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Amazon have revealed an exclusive 10-disc Blu-ray release of Stanley Kubrick: The Masterpiece Collection. The set includes eight classic Kubrick films, three previously released documentaries and two newly-produced documentaries: “Kubrick Remembered” and “Stanley Kubrick in Focus.” Also included is yet another documentary, “Once Upon a Time… A Clockwork Orange,” which is new to the U.S., and a 78-page hardcover photo book.
