Late Nite Grindhouse sticks its neon slime green bandana in its back pocket in September as we present William Friedkin’s CRUISING. This controversial film is an important entry in the serial killer sub-genre as well as film history. This is a film that was sparked from Friedkin’s involvement in the true-life “bag murders” happening in the 1970s – wherein the involvement included directing the convicted subject of the crime, Paul Bateson, previously when Friedkin directed him as an extra in THE EXORCIST.
