Late Nite Grindhouse Presents ‘THE DAY OF THE BEAST’ at Marcus Des Peres 14 Cine on December 6 & 7
Our final Late Nite Grindhouse show of 2024 is 1995’s The Day of the Beast (El día de la bestia) from director Álex de la Iglesia (30 Coins, Witching and Bitching).
The Day of the Beast is one of the most audacious and wonderfully blasphemous holiday horror films that is criminally underseen due to its availability for over two decades in North America. Thanks to those madmen at Severin Films who worked with the director to restore the film in 4K, we are proud to be showing this one for the holiday to close out 2024.
A priest who has figured out the code behind the prophecy of the apocalypse travels to Madrid to commit any number of sins and evils, with the help of a psychic and a heavy metal fan, in order to summon the devil and stop the birth of the Antichrist.
