Outside the Cinema Presents DRIVE-IN HORRORSHOW Screening in Danvers, MA

For those of you that don’t know, DESTROY THE BRAIN used to be a podcast.  I started it back in June of 2007.  Last year, we converted the website from podcast only to a full fledged website and our focus has been on news and reviews in written format while the podcast faded away.  While we will be coming back later this year in a new format in podcast form, our podcast comrades – Outside the Cinema – are presenting their first theatrical event with a locally produced film.  If you are near Danvers, MA, go check it out.  Read beyond the break for the full press release.

Locally produced horror movie to screen at Hollywood Hits
July 23, 2011 – 11:00 p.m.

Danvers, MA – Drive-In Horrorshow, an independent horror film produced in Greater Boston, will
be screening at Hollywood Hits, 7 Hutchinson Drive, Danvers Ma, presented by Outside the Cinema.
Tickets are on sale at the box office for only $6.00.

Drive-In Horrorshow is an anthology horror film comprised of five terrifying tales in the tradition of
Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow. Drive-In Horrorshow stars Ethan Zohn (winner of Survivor:
Africa) and Jenna Morasca (Playboy model, winner of Survivor: Amazon) and features special
effects by Rob Fitz (Surrogates) and Nick Flanagan (Shuttle). The film is directed by Michael
Neel and produced by Greg Ansin, two Boston-based filmmakers who have worked on a variety of
documentaries, music videos, and other film and video projects. Michael is also a contributing writer
for The Boston Phoenix.

Outside the Cinema is a locally produced podcast that premiered in February of 2008. With a new
show released every week, Outside the Cinema has recently passed the one million downloads mark.
Listened to internationally, Outside the Cinema is brainchild of Bill Fulkerson and co-hosted by Chris
Bricklemyer, Outside the Cinema is “your source for cult movie discussion.” Every show contains two
reviews of hidden gems or forgotten trash and the famous “Top Six List.”

Drive-In Horrorshow is available for sale on DVD through Midnight Releasing. DVD features
include director Michael Neel’s audio commentary, a behind-the-scenes featurette, music videos, and
