LAST CALL! Late Nite Grindhouse Presents NIGHTMARE Tonight!

I can’t tell you how excited I am that we are showing this obscure 30 year old film this weekend.  It is risky for us on a business perspective because it isn’t a film as popular as Phantasm or Hobo With A Shotgun.  But, that is the whole reason I started Late Nite Grindhouse was to bring films that weren’t playing at midnight shows.  I wanted to widen everyone’s view with horror films with films they may not have heard of or experienced on the big screen.  Nightmare is the epitome of obscurity.  A film that has been cursed since the day it was released will now unleash onto the big screen in blood-soaked 35mm at The Hi-Pointe Theatre tonight.  Read beyond the break for all the details!

Nightmare is showing August 5th and 6th.  Normally, we do the preshow at 11:30pm, however the previous film – Captain America: The First Avenger – won’t get out until 11:40 or 11:45.  I will be selling issues of Paracinema Magazine inside the lobby for $7 each.  Cash, debit and credit will be accepted!  I will also have some other freebees at the table including some leftover Piranha beach balls & some rare Hatchet II “Support Unrated Horror” buttons, so if you want these items, get there early.

Unfortunately, the short documentary on Nightmare will not be shown due to our time restraints.  However, I will briefly cover some of the controversies of the film prior to showtime.

Also, we will be implementing our new STFU policy tonight – the PSA is attached prior to the film so make sure you behave.

I have some FRIGHT RAGS shirts to give away to some lucky trivia winners – we have two City of the Living Dead shirts that I’m sure some of you might want.  We also should have some stuff for Final Destination 5 and Shark Night 3D tonight – not sure about tomorrow night.

We hope to see everyone out this weekend.  Remember, the film will start a little after midnight with our Psychotronic Pre-Show starting around 11:45 or 11:50.
