The latest casualty on THE WALKING DEAD . . . Frank Darabont
It seems that The Walking Dead show front-runner and executive producer Frank Darabont has given up the good fight. As if he simply just got sick of fending off the hordes of zombies, Darabont has laid down his weapons and given up on the project. Deadline is reporting that the famed director “never quite adjusted to the daily grind of producing a TV series.” This may have been what reporters are being told, but I’m sure other rumors are being circulated. Though negotiations are apparently still ongoing to try to reel Darabont back on to the show in some capacity, the likelihood of this happening is as good as surviving a zombie attack with one bullet and a rusty spoon. It is an understatement to say that this is disappointing news for fans of the popular zombie series. Season 2 is currently still filming and is still set to premiere on October 16th. Hopefully Darabont’s departure doesn’t effect the quality of the second season.
