New Music Video Will Give You David Cronenberg-Like Nightmares
Director Saam Farahmand has given spacey art-pop band The Klaxons, a music-video that certainly speaks to their musical complexity. “Twin Flames” is the new song from The Klaxons recent album Surfing The Void. Released this past Friday, the video for the new song set the internet ablaze due to its graphic NSFW depictions of sex and bodily horror. This subversive video is a M.C. Escher kaleidoscope of male and female bodies morphing into one another while participating in an orgy of sorts. You can witness the bizarre yet strangely beautiful video beyond the break.
Singer and bassist Jamie Reynolds told NME: “As ever Saam has taken what stems from an innocent discussion regarding the meaning of the song and turned it into a visual playground – his finest work to date.” Combining elements of David Cronenberg’s films and M.C. Escher’s drawings, the video invites you to stare in awe at its hypnotic mix of bodies and limbs.
Again … be warned … this is not safe for work!
