Late Nite Grindhouse returns with Opera from the Maestro of Murder, Dario Argento. Opera or Terror at the Opera, the latter is how the film was released here stateside by Orion Films, is a late 80’s entry into the already over-the-hill subgenre of Gialli. However, with Argento, we feel that we have an already established driver at the wheel as he craftly makes a traditional Italian mystery against the background of theatrics. Opera is one to see on the big screen with lavish production design and a scene to make Fulci squirm. We will be presenting the film via the recent 4K restoration by Severin Films.
