‘IT’ Trailer is Creepy and Online
While I’ve always liked Part 1 of the Tommy Lee Wallace television adaptation, I even know that is because of the camaraderie between the kids, known as The Losers’ Club. Part 2 misses the mark quite a bit and doesn’t strike the same admiration or connection that the viewer had in Part 1. Also, it’s a made-for-tv film so the violence and language from the source material is tamed down. The best thing about that adaptation of It is Tim Curry’s interpretation of Pennywise the Clown.
Andrés Muschietti’s film adapation promises to give us a more true adaptation and already it seems like it is off to a good start. The film will be rated R. The below trailer also looks pretty damn great.
What is interesting is that we don’t see Pennywise speak any lines but it seems that this representation of Pennywise is scarier than the television version (mainly due to lighting). It is also odd that this isn’t being advertised as Part 1 whatsoever. I’m sure we will get another trailer for the film between now and the release date of September 8, 2017.
