Bruce Campbell Talks About BRUCE VS. FRANKENSTEIN
Although My Name is Bruce is a hit or miss for a lot of horror geeks, most will agree that it was at least fun to see the horror icon poke fun at himself. Since the announcement of the sequel Bruce vs. Frankenstein earlier this year, news on the project has been pretty quiet. The wait is now over. MTV posted an interview with Bruce Campbell discussing the new Blu-Ray of The Evil Dead as well as the status of Bruce’s upcoming sequel. What can we expect from the film? Read on for more.
In the interview, Campbell does admit the sequel is definitely coming. Yet, the film might be further down the road due to scheduling conflicts. Campbell told MTV:
“We were hoping to do it (Bruce vs. Frankenstein) during the middle of this break in my ‘Burn Notice’ TV schedule but I’m making a ‘Burn Notice’ TV movie instead about my character. It’s a prequel movie about how Sam Axe got stuck in Miami. So we had to push (Bruce Vs. Frankenstein.) Hopefully we’ll do it during the next break.”
Campbell says that he doesn’t have a cast lined up yet but gave us a taste about what we might expect.
“I want every horror movie icon in the movie. I want it to be the ‘Mad, Mad, Mad World’ of horror movies.”
Who could we see on screen? Christopher Lee? Robert Englund? Kurt Russell? Roger Corman? Hopefully we won’t have to wait to long for casting news. Until then, I guess we could start to come up with our own lists for our dream cast.
