‘THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO’ Heads to DVD This March
Even though it may not have made quite the splash many studio executives and fans were expecting, Fincher‘s endeavor into the world of cyber-punk hacker Lisbeth Salander still garnered a heavy amount of positive reviews (you can read my review here and Andy’s here). What many mostly raved about was the intense performance by Rooney Mara as the tattooed and pierced anti-hero. I think the main reason for slow sales at the box-office was the overly negative approach to the marketing (“The feel bad movie of the year“). Obviously enough people did see it though because her performance landed her a somewhat unexpected Oscar nomination. If you missed it in theaters, you will be able to catch it when it gets released on March 20. The cover-art and special features for the Blu-ray disc have been provided below.
